Day 6: 21.04.18 1900 UTC, 1200 BoatTime
Position: 6:36S 101:36W COG: 255 SOG: 6,6 (average 25 hrs) Wind:5-20 kn SE to E Sailed distance: 850 Sailed last 24 hours: 165 Distance to Fatu Hiva: 2198
A grey and rainy day and night. Hardly any sun/charging. Light winds following showers. 5hrs motorsail. Wind picked up in the night and is steady 15-20kn SE now.
Sea state: 2.0 – 2.5 m swell from SE. A bit rolly and unorganized with the showers.
Fishing: Nothing new to report.
Heavy rain and grey sky defined this day. A bit more wind in the rainshowers, but nothing like the squalls of the Caribbean so far. Still within VHF distance of CsB. Sailing now at an angle about 80 degrees to the wind. That means that our lives are tilted to the side a bit. Combined with swell from the sides. We are slowly adapting to the tilted, rolly life 🙂
All is well.
