Galapagos – Marquesas – Day 6

Day 6: 21.04.18 1900 UTC, 1200 BoatTime
Position: 7:00S 103:75W COG: 260 SOG: 6,3 (average 24 hrs) Wind: 15-20 kn SSE Sailed distance: 1002 Sailed last 24 hours: 152 Distance to Fatu Hiva: 2047 (adjusted)
Weather: Overcast and stronger vinds. More from the south than expected. Beam reaching with two reefs in both sails during the night. Now only Genoa. Loosing speed, but more comfort.
Sea state: 2.0 – 2.5 m swell from SE. A bit rolly.
Fishing: No news.
Passed the 1/3 mark! Wind has picked up. Steady between 15 and 20kts from SSE to SE. Cloud Cover about 80% giving poor charging. Using engine to charge and make water. Rolly experience since the waves are coming from the side. We are slowly adapting and preparing ourselves that this is the way it is going to be for quite some time (given the latest weather files).
All is well.
