Day 3: 20.10.18 0100 UTC, 1200 BoatTime (UTC+11)
Position: 23:43S 159:25E
COG: 265 SOG: 5,2 (average 24 hrs) Wind: 0 – 8 SW Sailed distance: 405 nm Sailed last 24 hours: 126 nm Distance to Bundaberg, Australia: 395 nm
Weather: Nice and clear
Still “Dead Calm” and running the engine. Still an impressive swell from the south east. I guess it has been blowing quite a bit further to the south east of us for a while. The sea is all blank however, completely without wind ripples. At one stage we saw hundreds of Man-O-War jellyfish around the boat. Saw a big freight ship this morning and have been in radio contact with another sailing vessel “Katie Me II” heading for Bundaberg with the same waypoints from MetBob as us.
Sea state: 1,5 m.
Fishing: Not started.
CsB within sight.
All is well.
