COG: 265 SOG: 5,5 (average 25 hrs) Wind: 0 – 8 SW Sailed distance: 542 nm Sailed last 24 hours: 137 nm Distance to Bundaberg, Australia: 258 nm
Weather: Nice and clear
Crossed another, and the last, time zone border last night and changed boat time to UTC+10. This day has 25 hours as a consequence.
Still “Dead Calm” and running the engine, but incredible beautiful sunrise and sunset. A starlit night sky and a nice, big moon. Keeping diesel consumption on just over 2l/hr and maintaining OK speed with a little help from the wind at times. At this stage we should have enough diesel to go all the way if need be, but hopefully it will not be the case. The GRIBs are showing a little wind this afternoon and tomorrow. Maybe not enough to sail, but hopefully 🙂
We are very much enjoying the passage. It is getting clear to all of us that this is the last long ocean voyage in a very, very, very long time…
Sea state: 1,5 m.
Fishing: Not started.
CsB within sight.
All is well.
