Galapagos – Marquesas – Day 11

Day 11: 25.04.18 1900 UTC, 1200 BoatTime
Position: 8:19S 112:50W COG: 265 SOG: 6,1 (average 24 hrs) Wind: 10-25 kn ESE Sailed distance: 1577 (>50%!) Sailed last 24 hours: 147 Distance to Fatu Hiva: 1533
Weather: Nice weather with a few rain showers in the night. Less wind in the night also.
Sea state: 2.0 – 2.5 m swell from SE.
CsB still within sight. We are having Quiz and fun on the radio each evening.
Fishing: Got something really big on the hook last evening. Went away with almost all the line. When we tried to break towards the end of the line, it broke. The line should handle 40kg+……
Passed the halfway marker (not that we did see any). It feels good to know that there is progress, but we are everyone enjoying the life at see. Days are flying by. It feels like the sea is a bit calmer and more systematic now than it was some days ago. The big Bonito we caught two days ago is still dinner for today – but now we need to catch some more.
A sailboat passed us to the south during the night/morning.
All is well.

I am the Captain of this ship, and I have my Wife´s permission to say so!
